Hai, teman-teman Medan!
Mungkin setelah kalian lihat bahan-bahannya, kalian gak tahu apa bedanya sama Nasi Padang kali ya.
Makanan enak, harga murah.
Perut kenyang, hati senang.
God bless you! Happy tummy, everybody!

Hello! Do you miss me?
It has been a long time since the last time I wrote on this blog.
Today, I wanna share a delicious traditional food original from Indonesia.
It has been a long time since the last time I wrote on this blog.
Today, I wanna share a delicious traditional food original from Indonesia.
It is 'NASI PADANG'
Nasi means rice, and Padang is an area or a capital city of West Sumatra province. So, Nasi Padang is a rice that come from Padang.
Nasi Padang is famous because its spicy taste that really show off Indonesian traditional food. Nasi Padang usually served with cassava leaves, jackfruit, beans, eggs or meat.
Mostly, there are 2 kinds of eggs that served with Nasi Padang, such as round eggs (in the picture) and omelet. There are also many kinds of meat, those are written below.
- Rendang chicken
- Grilled chicken
- Fried chicken
- Curry chicken
- Rendang beef
- Fried fish
- Grilled fish
- Fish with chili (in the picture)
Usually, Nasi Padang is eaten with hand. People said it will be more delicious. However, it still delicious if you eat with cutlery (spoon and fork).
For most Indonesian, Nasi Padang has its important role in life. Example like me, if I went abroad for holiday for 2 weeks or more, I will miss this food so much, and usually after arrived back at Indonesia, I will directly find a food stall to eat this tasty and spicy food.
If you come to Indonesia, you should try this food. It is easy to find Nasi Padang in Indonesia, almost every area sell this food.
Okay, I think that's all I want to share tonight.
Hope you have a happy tummy.
See you when I write again. Good Bye.

Good afternoon, everybody! Today I want to share about Mie Pansit or just the same as Wun Thun Mee. This is one of my favorite foods. There is noodles, eggs, meat, and some vegetables. In Penang, Malaysia there is a different type Mie Pansit. Its soup is brown color. If in Medan it is white. However, you should try Wun Thun Mee in Penang, it is really recommended. If in Medan, it is just a usual food, not really tasty, just ordinary.
Left side is Wun Thun Mee from Penang and the right side is Mie Pansit from Indonesia.

Auntie Anne's is an American chain of pretzel bakeries. Auntie Anne’s got its start in 1988 when Anne Beiler bought a stand in a Pennsylvania farmers market. After some experimentation, Auntie Anne created a hand-rolled masterpiece.
This is the best pretzel that I've ever ate, especially the cinnamon one. I love it until everytime I go to Malaysia or Singapore I will find this pretzel as soon as I can. However, actually Auntie Anne's also available in Indonesia (I just know it too!) but unluckily only in Jakarta. I hope Auntie Anne's will available in Medan as soon as possible so I don't need to go somewhere far away to eat this tasty snack.

Good evening! Today, I cooked dinner for myself. Actually I was hanging out with friends just now afternoon and I can have dinner with my friends but my mom asked me to go home soon. Arrived home, I directly found food to eat but there was nothing. Do you know how I feel? I'm so sad, honestly. I can't bear my hunger anymore, so I decided to cook.
Opened the refrigerator, checked everything inside hoping I can find something to eat. The result is, there are noodles, vegetables, carrot, garlic, and eggs. In case of the limited and super simple ingredients, I just can cook fried noodles. I just cook it like usual, I am not an expert in cooking so I cannot make something special in my cooking. However, it is still tasty. Here is it!

Hello, guys! It's evening now so GOOD EVENING EVERYBODY!!! Today I want to share about nasi lemak. Do you know nasi lemak? If you are Indonesian, you know what is it. Nasi lemak also being called as Nasi Uduk in Java. This nasi lemak is limited and you cannot find it anywhere except in Tzu Chi Medan. This food is not for sale, anyway.
This food has made my day. There are so many kinds of side dishes. There are potato chips, chili potato, snaps, chili tempe, beans, and tempe bacem.
Do you know tempe? Tempe is traditional soy product originally from Indonesia. It is made by a natural culturing and controlled fermentation process that binds soy beans into a cake form. This tempe is especially popular on the Java island. Tempe's fermentation process and its retention of the whole bean give it a higher content of protein, dietary fiber, and vitamins.

Do you know the meaning of being a child?
According to what I found from Wikipedia, a child is generally a human between the stages of birth and puberty. The legal definition refers to a minor or known as a person younger than the age of majority.
Child may also describe a relationship with a parent, such as sons and daughters of any age.
For me, child (plural : children) is a human that live in a period of time that he knows nothing and just having fun. As a human, the best moment in my life is when I was a kid. It is the moment when the hardest problem in my life is which color of crayons that I should use to draw a flower. Childhood is a period of moment that a human doesn't have any stress at all. It's great, huh?
I love kids so much. Most of them are cute but some of them also very naughty and uncontrollable. Here are my little cousins. Cute but naughty. Check it out!

Then hello to you guys that lives in the other part of the world.
Yah, demi dia gue nulis pake bahasa Indo.
Tadi pagi menjelang siang, jam 11.05 gue baru bangun (maklum lagi liburan). Trus seperti anak zaman sekarang, bangun pasti cek Hp. Rupanya ada bbm, yah jelas gue buka bbm dong. Masa ada bbm tapi gue buka line? Kan gak lucu banget noh! Isi chat Jessica mah nanya gue jadi pergi atau nggak, sedangkan kemaren gue janji jemput dia jam 12. Shock banget loh! Gue langsung cepat-cepat balas semua chat di Hp gue sekalian bilang BRB gitoh! Apa itu BRB? Anak medan mah pasti udah tau BRB, BRB mah Be Right Back. Habis balas chat dari teman-teman gue, gue langsung lari kayak dikejer setan gitu ambil pakaian trus yah jelas langsung mandi. Habis mandi gue langsung sarapan then catok rambut trus berangkat deh!
Sambil keliling, sambil foto-foto trus sekalian ngobrol-ngobrol gitu. Yah biasa kalau cewek-cewek ngumpul. Pas uda siap sekitar jam 2 gitu, kita yah jelas langsung go to Gedung Arca.
Tiramisu latte, Chocolate Frappe sama Green Tea Frappe.
Enak banget kan? Punya gue tiramisu latte. Gue suka banget sama tiramisu. Hahaha. Kita bertiga ngobrol banyak hal lah! Kita ngobrol sampe ngakak-an, sampe kebelet-kebelet kencing gitu jugakkkkk. Paling seru deh kalau ngobrol-ngobrol gitu. Maklumlah, calon emak-emak arisan. Kita nongkrong sampe jam 4-an juga.
Setelah beli tissue yah kita bayar dong! Pas keluar dari Hypermart, kita ke toilet. Keluar dari toilet, mama ku suruh pulang katanya supir kan puasa jadi harus kasih dia cepat pulang begito. Trus yah kita langsung turun tunggu di bundaran air pancur tunggu jemputan. Tunggu sambil berdiri sambil ngakak-an juga.
Supir gue udah datang, trus ngantar mereka pulang then yah gue pulang. Walaupun cuma bentar dan ngobrol-ngobrol doang, tetap seru kok kalau bareng sama orang yang klop sama kita!
Ini ceritaku, bagaimana ceritamu? (Iklan Indomie)
Sekian cerita dari gue, maaf kalau alay, biasa anak Medan.
Have a nice day!

Good evening guys!
Today I wanna share my mom's homemade-lemper. Lemper is an Indonesian dish made of glutinous rice filled with chicken, prawn, fish or meat floss. The meat filling is rolled inside the rice, in a fashion similar to an egg roll; this is in turn rolled and wrapped inside a banana leaf, oil paper, plastic sheet or tinfoil to make a packet ready for serving. Lemper are most often seen as snacks, but may sometimes be served as appetizers as well.
And, the lemper you see above🔝 is the lemper that my mom made by herself. It is vegetarian, my mom use fake-chicken that actually made from mushroom. To make this vege-lemper is easy, just make it like the usual lemper and just change the meat with vege-meat.
For foreigner, you should try lemper! It is tasty and really nice. Then for Indonesian, you guys must try this vege-lemper!
Have a happy tummy and God bless!

Hello! Today I am very excited to tell you about the fruit that I like the most. It is durian, do you know durian? Actually it is endemic food that only available in Southeast Asia. Durian is distinctive for its large size, strong odour, and formidable thorn-covered husk. This fruit can grow as large as 30 centimeters (12 inches) long and 15 centimeters (6 inches) in diameter, and it typically weighs one to three kilograms (2 to 7 lbs). Its shape range from oblong to round, the colour of its husk green to brown, and its flesh pale yellow to red, depending on the species.
I live in Indonesia, and there is so many kinds of durian here such as Durian Sidodol at South Kalimantan, Durian Bokor at West Java, Durian Gantalmas at North Sumatra, etc. Durian tastes so nice. In Indonesia, there is also have Durian weather. Hahahaha.
On 16th June, my parents and I went to Penang, Malaysia. The taxi driver said that there were so many durians in Penang during May to August. My daddy is a durian lover, so he asked the driver where to buy the best durian at that place.
In the evening when we wanted to have dinner, we walked along Macalister street to find food to eat. Then we found durian stall beside a steamboat restaurant. We had our dinner there and it is the best night ever. There are some kinds of durian and you can't find it anywhere except Penang.
Each of them taste very nice and they have their own taste.
For Or Chi, it tastes almost the same like Durian Gantalmas in North Sumatra, Indonesia, but it has a bit bitter that make it so nice. Its flesh also very thick and as you see the color is between yellow and orange, so nice, huh? This is the cheapest durian there. It just RM35/kg or about IDR129,500. Then this is the first year that they sell Or Chi. The seller said that in the past year, Or Chi was not able to sell in public. This kind of durian just for the rich people there and the farm also owned by one of the rich people there. However, the owner had died last year so this durian is available for public now!
This is Luri Chocolate, this is the most unique durian ever. It has chocolate smell. Can you believe it? Durian with chocolate taste? You should try it.
This is Musang King! It smells so nice and like what I said, I think it tastes like pineapple. Go and try this one. This is about RM45/kg. Its flesh is gold color.
This is Kirby Chi. This is the best durian for those who loves wine. This durian smells wine and can make people a bit drunk and dizzy. This durian has a pale-color flesh. However, it is tasty. It is about RM35/kg

Penang Char Kwey Teaw
This is a noodle that made from flavor and it is thin and wide. Usually people will cook it with seafood or chicken, actually it is up to you want to cook it with what. This fried noodles has it own taste. I love it so much. You can find it easily in Penang, Malaysia. It is available almost every corner of the roads. However, I recommend you to eat Penang Char Kwey Teaw at Lorong Selamat, Jalan Macalister. It is so nice and you will like it, everytime I go to Penang I will find this noodles first. It is cheap, just about 4 or RM5.
Let me tell you a bit about me and this Char Kwey Teaw
Since small, I was sick because my lungs are full of water, so I was hospitalized at Penang. I should go to Penang every year to check up myself and would udergo through a bad therapy to cure my disease. I hate being there, not only suffer because of the therapy, the food in the hospital also not delicious, no taste at all. I hate the food in the hospital.
One day, I asked my mom to take me walk around the hospital because I was so bored in my room. Then I went to the children playground to play with the other children, I don't know they are sick or healthy but the only thing I remember is I played happily with them. When I took a rest, my mom brought me to the canteen to have some drink. I went there and bought some boxes of milk and tea. Finished my drink, then I went back to play. While I was playing, suddenly I smelled something so nice. I turned my head around and looked for the source of the nice smell. A woman was spoon-feeding her child with that noodles. Then I just called my mom and asked her to buy that fried noodles for me, but my mom said that I might not eat that noodles first, because I was sick and she promised me that she would buy it for me when I'd recovered.
Few years later, I am healthy and doctor said there is nothing to worry about my lungs anymore. I am so happy and I asked my mom to go to eat Char Kwey Teaw. We went to the food stall near the hospital, it smells so nice.
Since that time, every time I come to Penang, I will find this Char Kwey Teaw first. But why should eat at Lorong Selamat? Maybe this is the question that you guys wanna ask. I recommend the Char Kwey Teaw at Lorong Selamat, because it is the most delicious one that I ever eat. Last year when I went to Penang to check up, my cousin said that she want to eat at Lorong Selamat, we went there for lunch and I ordered Char Kwey Teaw. Since then, I am in love with Char Kwey Teaw at Lorong Selamat.
I hope that all of you gonna taste this Char Kwey Teaw and feel the same like me.
Have a happy tummy!
Thank you for reading. Sorry for the mistakes, I am still amateur in writing. Thank you very much.

Actually I am not new in blogger but I am using my new account now. I've forgotten my password so I can't use it anymore. This blog I named it "Chocolate Pumpkin" because I think I want to start to be a food blogger so I choose a name that related with food. Chocolate pumpkin? Maybe some of you may ask why I choose that name, actually I also don't know I choose it, I also never eat any pumpkin yet.
Okay, as usual, I am always introducing myself first.
I am Cynthia, you also can call me Sese. I am Chinese, live in Medan, North Sumatra, Indonesia. I love to draw, write, travel every nice and unique place that full with its culture, watch movie and sometime I love to read books, especially comic books. Anyway, I am here is to share everything about myself especially that is related with food. I just start to be a food blogger and also a food hunter.
Why I want to be a food blogger? Hahaha. Everything start since I love to eat so much and wanna share everything I eat to people around me. Another reason is I want to tell you the story behind the food, maybe why I love the food so much or my private experience that related to the food.
Actually I also love to cook, but no one teach me how to cook well, so everything I cook is just simple and not like in a luxurious restaurant or make by professional chef, it also dont taste very good, it tastes different everytime I cook, sometime to sweet or salty and sometime too spicy. I am really bad in cooking.
But, the things I will share here is a fantastic food that is really recommended to all of you. I swear, I will make you fat because the food is delicious and make you want more and more! Hahaha.
At first, I want to say sorry because I can't post the food really often, I am girl and I want to keep my body slim, so I won't so often to eat delicious food. Hehe. I promise that I will post everything delicious and you will be easy to find it then it will be cheap. Will be suitable for students.
Thank you for reading, I will post some nice food soon!
Have a good day and God bless you!
